EZRA FURMAN AND THE HARPOONS REALLY, REALLY LIKE YOU A LOT

Ezra Furman is a 20-something years old nice guy from Illinois that back in 2006 wrote a whole bunch of heart-melting, nostalgic songs that would fit right in a John Hughes movie score and decided it was about time to start playing them in various college dorm rooms together with his buddies Job, Andrew and Adam, aka The Harpoons.
After a gazillion gigs and a self-released EP recorded at Trufts College in between parties and classes, they got signed by Chicago’s indie rock label Minty Fresh Records, and published their first national debut album, “Banging Down the Doors”. Think Bob Dylan, Violent Femmes and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah played by sweet, awesome college kids and you’ll get a close enough idea of what they sound like.
Right now they have a new record for sale, it’s called “Moon Face” and it’s really a collection of all their songs that have never made it into one of their records, yet. Plus, if you order the album online on their website, and drop them a couple lines about yourself and your own little world, Ezra will write YOU a song that talks about YOU and that it’s just going to be for YOU and he’ll record it on YOUR album and he will send it over to only YOU and that’s just because these folks are extremely nice guys and apparently they really, really like YOU a lot. As far as our song, we want it to be about cream cheese, brutal death metal and snakebites, that are three things that truly rule in life.
